NO NEVER
Do you think that as time goes by, spring powered guns will become obsolete?
Will PCP's be the only option as time goes by?
Yeay or Ney???

Just wait till we run out of air.
Then what you gonna do?

No way! There is plenty of room for both.
I think springers will always be there at the bottom/ middle of the market. The fact that you dont need any air /co2 to keep shelling out on will see to that. The casual/ plinker will want to buy a cheap gun with no ongoing expenses other than ammo

Well let's hope not.
I went along to my local club for the first time on Sunday morning armed with my trusty BSA Supersport. Nice, friendly bunch of people too.
I had a whale of a time on the range, though despite much interest in the old-fashioned beast, I struck a lone figure. Once zeroed, I was hitting targets much the same as the PCP boys.
I feel that in order to keep up with the masses a PCP will inevitably be required soon, otherwise I shall have to become a purist!
Kev.
I think companies that ONLY make springers could possibly go out of business due to lack of demand ,any company that makes pcps & springers would always keep their options open, supply & demand at the end of the day.
Well I'd say no, springers will never go, they are more expensive now than they were 20 years ago and people still pay the money. I paid £75 20 years ago for my old HW and they sell second hand for loads more now
Happy now

No then.
Good, I'm glad. I own a PCP (Daystate Harrier) and a HW97K and I LOVE 'em both .
I just had a weird experience at a on eoff visit to a club some time ago, where everyone had a PCP and I had a "lowly" HW95. There was an attitude of "Oh, you've got one of those 'old fashioned guns' ", and I felt a bit put out.
Thats exactly why I bought a springer. If you can't get any air to refill your tank & you don't have a pump your stuffed.SteveOriginally Posted by Raygun
Last Sunday at my club there were by far more Springers in the gun racks than PCP's.
Mind you it was the monthly Springer comp.

They were a bunch of knobs then clifftop, sold my old hw77 and fenman yesterday, beginning to regret it already ,if i'd used them lately i probably would have kept em,oh wellOriginally Posted by clifftop
Not everyone thinks that PCPs are the best thing since sliced bread. There are enough people who prefer an independant power source to keep springers going for a long time to come.
