Depends on whether you can pick your new stock, 'cos you might find a very nice one.

The CS 500 is much nicer than the latest walnut scaly thing you get these days.

Can you afford to guess if she's pregnant or not? Well now you can with the all new service revolver! Just 2 easy steps and your sorted. Point to your head then pull the trigger!
I used to have the factory beech stock on my .22 TX and it handled beautifully.
The only problem with my CS500 is the "thumb up" position of the stock which I cant really get used to, but my CS500 does have some lovely grain.
It might sound odd but I shoot PCP's with my thumb "up" but I can only shoot springers with thumb "down"
I would buy the new TX with the walnut stock as i think what you pay extra is money well spent. Sell your current TX as a going concern if the stock on it fits well, there is always the chance that if you do swap them over you might not be so lucky. I notice your current TX stock has no checking so a new TX factory stock will be quite a contrast and may take some getting used to. Have to ask the question, why are you going over to the very sensible(in my opinion) .177.

Hi Barrel
Why am I going over to the girlie calibre?
I have a British Webley Longbow and raider,both .22.
I originally wanted a TX in .177 but the .22 TX I bought on a whim I suppose I should have waited for a .177 to come along
I also fancy having a go at some longer range shooting and always wanted to try out Mosquito pellets for the job, the price os them in .22 is horrific!
