Do you have a wanted section in the forum? don't want to break rules but don't know if you can ask or am I not allowed in that section yet as a newby

I wouldn't worry too much, no one ever looks at the wanted section anyway

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
As do I, I have repeatedly found responding to wanted ads to be more trouble than it's worth.
We may be looking at this from different points of view, I'm talking about someone wanting rifle "x", which is what you will find the majority of wanted ads in the wanted section being, not someone wanting a magazine article or three quarter whit flange nut.
This is my experience.

I got two of those from wanted posts on here - so that did work for me. They were specific things, and what was offered to me was either clearly what I wanted or it wouldn't have been offered.
Then I put in a wanted post for a pistol giving clear details of what was wanted. Got a few replies offering pistols nicely inside my requirements. [edit: always replied] Nah, don't want that... No don't want that either...
For something other than a round-head duffelle sprocket with a dome-head fitting, what you want can be a very personal thing. That 'pistol wanted' post reminded me I need to wait for something to come up for sale which is obviously a "dive for your phone" perfect match, or... yawn... yawn... wait for it to come up.
It's horrible weather, can't go anywhere, I'm well stocked up so don't even have an excuse to go to the shop, so I sit here typing drivel.

used it once worked out ok for me
It always surprises me how many times there's an item in sales that seems to be exactly what someone in wanted is after
Don't people look, or is it that seeing the other ad triggers the decision to buy/sell ?
I do hate people who can't be bothered to reply when you answer a wanted ad, which unfortunately seems to be most of them.
I can see this thread being moved to the 'Men only' section, real soon.
Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're probably right.
