Any recommendations? Best I've found at the moment are RWS Hollowpoints, only looking at ranges of 20 yards or so (open sights).
thanks
Ed
No, I've never seen them - but I seem to remember them being mentioned before. Will an 80's BSA be true .22 then?
cheers

RWS Superdomes !
But try Defiants as Jim T. recommended them for older airguns especially Airsporters some years ago in AGW mag.
“An airgun or two”………
The "pretend" Wasps might be worth a try as well.

Defiant Vintage - definitely happy in an Airsporter.
Defiant Vintage the way to go, excellent quality, very accurate and made in the UK. I was in PAX Guns only yesterday to buy another box.
They are available off E*** if you can't get them locally.
Falcon Accuracy Plus have very thin skirts to keep their weight so low - might help getting a better seal?
I had a .22" BSA Airsporter in the '80s that shot well with RWS Superdomes, although the BSA Pylarms / Eley Wasp pellets that were available at that time were slightly more accurate and a more consistent fit in the loading tap. The modern versions that are available now do not to be 'quite so good'
BTW, I also had a Webley MK3 in .22" at the same time, and 5 shot groups shot at 20 yards with open sights were always tighter than with the Airsporter. I often found that the Airsporter shot the odd 'flyer' for some reason

Always looking for new members at the Swalecliffe and District TSC in sunny Herne Bay http://www.sanddtsc.org.uk/
As a laugh I just shot a 'round' on Sunday at MVAC with my .22 bitzsporter Mk3-4-5 to give my mate and his Chinese a chance of not being last and had really good results with RWS hobby wad-cutters. My old Bitzsporter did me proud and gave me the most stress-free fun I've had shooting for ages.
Bought some Wasps but they are to large for the tap loading breach, pellets get stuck half in half outThe "pretend" Wasps might be worth a try as well.

Will the defiants not be as wide as the Wasps?
I would have thought so, but the Defiants are fine in mine - I don't know if it is actually possible, but could the loading tap have been refitted 180* out, they have a tapered bore in them.
Of course the modern Wasps are pretty dire, I think I'd blame them first.
