I went for the .177 in the end with the HFT etc in mind. I'm a bit torn with calibres to be honest. I've had great fun plinking with the HW35 in .22 and the HW77 also in .22. Need a good selection I reckon

Trumpetier always says .22 for springers and .177 for pcp and I must say, I agree with that. And..... yes, a good selection is also the 'right answer'

When I recently had the problem with the new HW77 and not being able to remove the open sights I had originally purchased it in.177. Once they agreed that a replacement rifle was going to be how it was dealt with I asked them if I could change it for a .22 which they agreed to. I have to say it does shoot a lot sweeter in .22
