    Why have a smoothbore P53? They are all Section 58 - if not a replica, of course. In this country a replica of a muzzleloader is treated as if it was a .50cal Barratt....

    Only because he wanted something that wasn't too expensive. A rifled version will be £700 upwards (I know, I have many). A smoothbore version would be half the price but still have oodles of history.
