V.Strong winds here, 25 miles North of the Hollow. Web says wind at Quigley is 19 MPH....not good for tent erection. Might try sleeping in the Landy tonight. Fresh from the barbers' Dave & Landy half loaded as I type this.........but the call of the Hollow is strong!
See you all this pm.

Seize the Day! Quigley Hollow is a great place to start.
We will be looking smart, I had a trim yesterday.
TonyL, how's the split ends?

Smell my cheese
Alrighty then!
I'm free to travel from 7pm Friday evening, and the trip should take 3 hours.
Question: Do I set off, arriving at a strange campsite that I have never visited before, in the dark, to meet folks I have never met, or do I set out early Saturday morning having completed the three S's in the comfort of my own bathroom, arriving around breakfast time to see all your lovely, shiny faces eager to start the day?
Friday night mate, all day long. You will be made more than welcome and the beer will likely be flowing round the bonfire till the wee hours
Yep, as Lovely Chris says, if you have the option, go on Friday night.
Every single person that has visited for the first time marvels at the friendly welcome received and you'll be at home straight away.
Then you'll have the full day on Saturday to "go at it". Unless you get so well and truly sloshed that you don't surface until later!
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- August 3/4, 2024.........BOING!!
Saturday morning.
Arrive bushy-tailed and shout "drop yer cocks and grab yer socks!".
On reflection, I suppose that could also work late on a Friday night...
