I recently took off a Bushnell Legend 3-9x40 with a single piece mount, it worked well and didn't cover the loading port, I wanted to go over to mildots so I put a Nikko Stirling Panamax on in the end.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
That’s also a consideration I forgot about, not covering the loading port . The Bushnell Legend 3-9 x 40 sounds ideal .
Does the Panamax hinder the loading port , and add weight. ?
I suppose everything is a trade off .
Not bothered about big ranges and high mag.
Just use smaller targets.
Very nice scopes. The zoom versions also come with PA. The 6 x 45 is clear from 8 yrds. Nice and desirable. The only scope to my knowledge to be marketed by 3 companies.
Nikko, Webley and Parker Hale. That tells you something. Mach 1.5
Tasco 2-7 x 32AG or Weihrauch (Tasco) 3-9 x 40.

I've had a Bushnell Elite 3200 4-12x40 for years and it's been great. Recommended.
I have an AGS 3-12x44 Mini SWAT.
It is superb from 15 metres to 70 meters.
I've no idea what it would cost today b ut I would not part the two.
