Actually, thinking this through again, the most pointless airgun I own apart from two Gats (hate those things) may be my Mk5 Airsporter.
Beyond some vague 70s British nostalgia, it has, considering its place at the time in the market as as a “high end” rifle, absolutely no redeeming qualities.
It wears an early 80s Gunsport or Hushpower suppressor, and a contemporay Bushnell 6x32. Which should make it at least vaguely cool.
But it’s still just bad. In any circumstances. Like Webley Hawk bad.
Coming to you soon in sales as a valuable rare classic BSA collectible. (Joking.)
Ahh...The Webley Hawk.. Got worse as the MKs went on. The MK3 was so poorly made with shockingly soft metal, the pin holding the back block in was harder than the cylinder and used to stretch the hole it was in.
But didnt they look good in yer mums Great Universal catalogue!
Come to think of it, the Hawk, Airsporter's and Mercury's were fabulous looking guns. Pity they were so shit compared the the German stuff.
Rapid 7 in .22 sub 12 FPE.
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill
All my PCP guns soon as my dive tank is low.
HW100KT good little rifle but a small shoot count.
Still my Slavia ZVP air pistol. Was useless before and still is. Bought for £20 at an auction. Fires a .177 pellet down the garden so slowly I might beat it in a foot race. Probably wants some new internals but parts aren’t exactly off the shelf.
HW45. Bought about 1990 and put less than a tin of pellets through it.
You can spend thousands and still miss a barn door or spend just enough and enjoy yourself. If you haven't got the talent to start with a million pound won't fix it. Whippet, Russell, a few bang sticks and a flat cap. http://www.smart-tech1st.co.uk
