You come into this world with nothing, go out in debt and you've made a profit
There isn't a current production near legal limit power, all-round quality CO2 pistol, you will compromise somewhere.
There are off the shelf trigger kits for the EB, is there perchance an off the shelf power upgrade for the Rohm you advocate?
I was suggesting a route which could lead to the desired result, no excuses here
Nick
I think that is where I was coming from. Only trying to be helpful.
My Rohm is about 3.5ftlb. If the enquirer has to compromise somewhere - as you say, maybe he will choose quality over power. All I was doing was adding information, thereby allowing him to make an informed decision.
No excuses here either.

A Crooked Barn 2240, with all the goodies is probably as close as you'll get off the shelf.
I'm building my own slowly using some ratty bits
Alloy breech, adjustable 2 stage trigger, 7" barrel and some home made anatomical grips, and then I'll do a .177 version too
Cheers

The crosman 2240 has to be the cheapest & most fun route to go...it's just the quality bit that will have to come from the new owner in stages rather than the manufacturer....
Crosman 150 or Mk1 both .22 Quality pistols.
