    some pics

Many thanks to all those who attended today. It was a pleasure to see everyone and to meet the BBS members who made the trip

This was our biggest and best Fayre to date with a huge choice of collectable air guns

We only just managed to squeeze everyone in this time and apologies if it was a bit tight particularly in the bring and buy area.

I think we will use the stage area as well next time and run our bell target Open Competitions on a separate date to give more room to sellers.

Below are a few pictures of air guns for sale on the day and hopefully Pete (Dunks) will be along shortly with some better shots.
Thanks to Mac for running the Open Bell target competition and for the use of his computer equipment. Winners will be published by Mac.

The star raffle prize of a side lever AA rifle was won by a gentleman who left early. We have his telephone number and we will be in touch

Thanks to Paul who donated this prize and to Binners who has donated a rifle for our next Fayre which will be held hopefully this Summer.

Twas a good day out for sure. Nice to have a rabbit to ....walnutfarmick, micky,edbear2, grezoor, wonky donky, torrens and many more. I sold 2 rifles and 2 pistols plus loads of bits ,and bought for myself a lovely Walther Winchester carbine.
Our hosts did a great job of looking after us. I can't wait until the next one.
    Pete.

I'm not long home from Melbourne having had a most enjoyable day. I've seen a lot, learnt a lot, had a number of interesting conversations* and can put faces to names but think my crowning achievement was luring Binners (and his wallet) back at a later date by an unfulfilled promise of a cup of tea.

Sincere thanks to all the organisers and attendees. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

    ATVB, Mick

    * And overheard a few more!

I turned my back and Mick had swapped me and my cup of tea for his new best mate, Edbear. Well I may come the evening before next time, just to settle a few scores with one of the local bell-enders.

Bring your wallet mick, that tea might turn into a swift half

I missed the first fayre but a friend and myself went today and really enjoyed the afternoon. Everybody friendly and more than willing to help with enquiries and to let prospective buyers try an Airgun on the little bell target range. My mate aquired a rifle and I located a nice little pistol. So much to choose from and a nice venue. A bar and food for sale as well.
Thanks to the organizers and everyone who attended with all the goodies for sale. Certainly look forward to the next one.

Yes well organised day & nice to see so many people there. Great to see that 1920's Titan pistol. There were some bargains there, a few that caught my eye were a BSA Ladies Pattern for £100, a prewar Diana for £80, a little Gem for £55. There were good few early fluted Webley MK3's & Airsporter Mk1/ MK2's.
I bought an Anschutz 275 & did get a laugh when I asked Chris if he had 4.4mm balls

    Unhappy

I'm absolutely gutted that I couldn't get there

I was supposed to be doing some work on my sons car, his mates sisters garage was the place I was doing it but when we were about to set off he got a call from his mate, his siters car was in it with a broken roadspring and had collapsed so we couldn't do it after all

I could have gone down after all

Hope everyone had a great time, I'm going to make sure I get to the next one- everyone can take a running jump!!

    Ha ha ha!!

If Chris hadn't got small, shiny brass coloured ones then Protek do!! I once bought some for my Mod275 or if you know anyone that loads their own shotgun cart's, beg some BB size shot from them as that's why these guns were made in the odd calibre!!

Sounds like it was a great day. Events for airgun collectors are to be welcomed and I congratulate everyone in the Melbourne Marksmen for organising it. I am sorry that I missed it because of being at the British Shooting Show all weekend but I hope to attend any airgun collectors's fairs held anywhere, anytime in the future.
