    If it's Pyrodex you are after, remember that it's P grade that you'll want. Else Triple 7 is good, and slightly more 'vigorous'

    For example -

    30gr of 3Fg black powder = 27gr of Pyrodex =25gr of Triple 7. More or less.

    No documentation is required to buy any of the subs.

    If you can find a Pedersoli, they're sublime. It's the revolver they set world records with. Foolishly traded mine a number of years ago...

    capandball did a an article on shooting the 1911-made version of the Remington NMA a while back. After he won the international BP revolver match with it, that is.

    It is a whole different ballgame to the run of the mill production version, and costs around £1000, if you can find one. No doubt Henry Krank's will find you one.

    Also consider the Hege and Feinwerkbau versions - both North of £1000 - IF you can find one.
