    Next time the missus & I are passing through that part of England we’ll try to arrange a visit to one or more of them.

    We’re hoping to visit this one in the midlands when we’re allowed out again:

    Bell target

    I got my first air rifle at the age of ten from a bell target club. My dad was president of the local Working mens club and institute. Had been for years. The club ran an active bell target club but just after WW2 it was decided to drop it in favour of a skittles alley. Dad said too few members were left after the war and also folk had had enough of shooting guns of any description. The clubs guns were given away and of course dad being president got one which he gave to me. A BSA light pattern. Wish I still had it!
    When I die don't let my wife sell my guns for what she thinks I gave for them!!!

    Here's a write up by our Captain (retired to Cornwall sadly now but still active in the sport);

    The hall / Skittle Alley is behind the pub and now has been done up a bit, we had a move away for a spell but are back there now.

    Not so near Lemner but 10 mins (4.3miles) up the road from the Firs (Elgar's Gaff)...If you turn right out of Elgars it's keep on straight over a crossroads, then when you hiit the B4197 turn right and it's 200 Yds.

    Nomads HFT is about 100 yards away from the pub as well
