I really like the loading port design of these. Similar to browning airstar or Webley eclipse.
It's something im looking at for an underlever design. Not going to be using a sliding compression tube, so something like this or a rotary breech style

I’d think that’s fine for a plinker, as is the BSA Merlin/HW57 vertical block. Not for a real precision instrument.

Yea I've got a HW57 and really am not a fan of the loading. The falcon pistols seem a bit better but the same issues. Putting the pellet directly into the barrel just removes the potential for issues and is one less thing to go wrong.
