Well a few trial target placements yesterday for the big day has made me realise that none of those were really suitable , so it looks like its back to the old trusted formula.

True but I couldn't sleep the night before thinking that there was a possibility there might be, and Craig missed his first for that 59.

That was really odd, straight-forward target 29 ..... he could've shot that all day long and never have missed.
I thought I'd given the Wind-Fairy the day off.

    Spooky!

    This magic place, serene, sublime,
    The hallowed haunt of fifty-nine,
One by one, step up the best,
And one has yet to pass the test,
    Will you ever?

    arf!

I dinked my first one and then had a good run until the Pixies started riding my pellets like Major Kong (how many grains does a pixie weigh ?)

Matt did manage to knock 30 targets down on a home shoot but the cherry was intact due to there being 32 targets on the course ... Buxted is a harsh mistress!

So Chris are you back to face the Buxted gauntlet for the Sussex Open on the 4th?

Do my best mate, going to speak to a few lads next week at Quarry and see if I can bring a raiding party with me. Lock up your burgers

I still refuse to call that my PB (my official PB is 52 ex 60 is) due to the glut of targets that day. However, in the dead of night when no-one else is about and the Moon is in alignment with Jupiter, I might dare to dream for one brief shining moment that my PB is 57 ex '60' (née 66). Anyway, my SiHFT PB is 50 so......

Oh, and Cliff, it wasn't just Major T. J. "King" Kong riding your pellets. He had his survival kit as well. In them you'll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings. Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff. Those Pixies sure do know how to have a good time!
