    Bear in mind that a 300 bar DIN fitting has more threads on a deeper valve and regulator than a 232 bar version. This is to handle the extra pressure.
    It allows 300 bar kit to fit to a 232 bar cylinder valve which is safe but 232 bar DIN fittings will run out of thread before the O ring seals on the cylinder valve. This avoids 300 bar being applied to 232 rated equipment.

    Well yes & no.
    My MDF airgun charging adaptor is only rated 232bar (as I think is the case with all of them) but fits my 300bar cyl.

    it is also 100% safe to use PROVIDED I am not doing a pressure test, because other than a full pressure test, the pressure inside the charging adaptor never exceeds the fill pressure of the rifle, which is even lower at under 200bar

    That is the whole point of the airgun charging kit or surface valve assembly, so that you can control the amount of pressure & flow - the only items that MUST be 300bar SWP are the stop valve & cylinder.
