A bit of over excitement on this thread I think.

    I don't mind as I have a nice .22 Stutzen Carbine.

Couldn't agree more. Massive difference between what someone thinks a gun is worth to what they are prepared to pay

Value Vs Worth Vs Rareity ...Rareity always wins

    Well -
Values for these have risen enormously as mentioned and from personal experience here on this forum over the past few days , these are the prices that are being asked today right now .
It does not have to be a Greener airrifle or a Lincoln Jeffries backstrap cocking airpistol to command high ££££ .

Troubleshooter's example in .25 offered to me here , at £650 : - sighted up , but with marks to stock is an immediate example .
I had decided to opt instead for a different one , (sorry T'shooter ) .
Unboxed but mint with full open sights front and back and with the steel foresight hood usually absent . Reading a magazine review recently ,the .25 Rb2 Stutzen is so so rare with one pro in the gun trade here confirming whispers that less than some alleged 95 - 100 units released with so say most sent to the US . They are worth seeking out and paying that bit more for , especially a minty one like my purchase , fully sighted by Williams which set me back :
    £ .

No , am not going to tell anyone cos that's my business .

    Inproved's earlier Tap Loader .177
Any standard Stutzen - if there is such a thing in a common calibre , is now scarce - A tap loader .177 in great conditon has to be worth £350 +/-

But you are quite happy to quote other people's business/prices.
The original foresight hood is present on mine, but you didn't ask about that.

Totally agree, we all understand that prices creep up over the years but just because one person says they are worth blah blah amount and for us all to believe it is daft, it's like what gets said on here a lot of times, people will only pay what they think it's worth, I have a mega rare Airsporter S carbine which I've spent a fortune on getting up to scratch, if I asked for the money I wanted for it (to get my money back that I've spent on it) I'd probably not even get any request for photo's but talking to another BSA fan the other day I was told by him that he sold the same rifle as mine in .177, immaculate boxed never fired a shot condition for £750 to a collector, doesn't mean I'm going to get anywhere near that figure for mine.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

I think I've seen pics of yours on here?
I'm sure your guns are way above the usual standard and will command a premium.

But I would expect to buy 5 Airsporters for £750.

    What about a 'Centenary' Airsporter then? (£400 - £1300)
The Stutties fetch a premium - some Airsporters do!

I don't deny that some models fetch more.
But a standard Airsporter is £150 in good nick so 5 = £750.

I had a Centenary and it was rubbish to shoot.
Which taught me not to pay premium prices.

Last month I bought a late Stutzen Carbine .22 in good condition for £265 which was £15 more than I wanted to pay - so Im still a bit reckless.

Gingernut Centenary - yes agree . One of only 1000 but why do they come up for sale all the time ? I had one and disliked it so much - I got rid of it
It was after all only a Airsporter in a posh stock
Airsporterman I was trying to keep on thread and stay with Stutzens as all manner of cheap as chips Airsporters abound .
No interest to me at all .
I unfortunately will pay premium prices especially on really really rare stuff like .25 Rb2 Stutzen

    Well, that's your opinion, I have a number of Airsporters, Mk1s, Mk2s, Mk4, Mk5 an Mk2 'S' Carbine deluxe and a Centenary model.
For my money - nothing beats the original MK1 Airsporter, but as the Centenary is basically an 'S' model with an elongated walnut stock, it really shouldn't 'shoot' any better or worse than an 'S'?
    Intend keeping all mine!

.... and another thinly veiled sales thread gets all the publicity the OP is looking for.

Has the gun been put up for sale yet - or has it already sold by PM?

Inproved's thread - which this still is , relates to one of the scarcest Airsporters , the Stutzen.
Airpsorter S/ walnut had one boxed mint , piss poor in comparison . Prices as I have found for Stutzens are however reaching high - the .25 offered here from this forum at £650 /marked stock , the one sold at the free adverts website looking a little weary for £600 'ish . I just am happy I have a mint one , and happy to have paid the price .

As for an Airsporter S you wouldn't get anywhere near that price referenced , if its not similar - boxed , immaculate , in .177 and more importantly was an example unlike yours that needed you to have " spent a fortune on getting it up to scratch " .
    Worlds apart mate .
Save up and buy a top Stutzen from Inproved

I think thats a bump on me .
