Absolutely. Its amazing how little there is between them. One thing I did discover whilst chrono testing today was that my HW77 that i've had from new (around a year) is only putting out 10 ft lb's in .22 at best. I might have to have a little look at that one. Some of the results were as low as 9.9ftlb
My similar dated 77 is also doing exactly that... Max is with express (14.3 or 4grn I can't remember) pushing 10.3/4 ftlbs & 9.5-10.4 over a few different brands. Now, I stuck a nose extension in it, a new seal and put 2 of tinbums power washers in and it stayed the same. It shoots nice so I'm a bit loathed to change it as it's my pleasure gun where power don't mean jit but it is niggling my thoughts a little. Still.., I'll stick a few more tins through & see what happens I think..

THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- August 3/4, 2024.........BOING!!
To be honest tone, I can't wait till I forgotten all about the power its pushing.. a couple of weeks ago I put my mate with his Webley raider 10 PCP to shame with it . As soon as I'd zeroed it with the a different pellet I was hitting this small target at about 45-50yrds nearly every time. It was great

I think if the rifles working for you its not too much of a problem. I'm going to have a look at the 77 when I get chance as its never been apart and is pretty twangy. I'm just reluctant with this one after I marked my Nickel HW97 taking it apart. The new ones seem to be a right pig to open up.
