nice pics of the lad,he must of been well pleased to get the cool looking Crosman instead of the old unwieldy 'antique!',i have a '50's model, engineering wise the trigger puts it a tad ahead of the post war bsa underlevers[imo].
I reckon he was, His dad later told me that he brought he used to bring plenty of food in for the table with the King Rat, They lived miles from the nearest shop!!!
I just brought a Gecado model 35 with the three ball sear trigger fitted, They're lovely triggers!!

Here's a few pics of a young lad in a very remote part of the Highlands some years ago struggling like crazy with an Original mod50, .177cal..
I had a word with his dad and ended up doing a trade for my King Ratcatcher, It fitted him perfectly!
I had a mod50 type 01 too which was lovely rifle, The trigger was superb!! Alas I let it go when another lad wanted it, Wish i'd told him to beggar orf now
It's farthest right in this pic..
I've three 50's and another in bits, I'm hoping that the type 01 will be coming back to me even though i'm supposed to be culling my collection!!
