    Hi Kieran, very good review, I'm looking at the vxiii 2-8 x 36 for HFT. It has the boone and crocket reticle, which looks like the first 2 stadia will give the same aimpoint as the vamint ret. It is however a lot more chunky, which I like the idea of at the moment. Could you give me an idea of your zero and aim points for the varmint. I'm weighing it up against a burris which I believe has the first line roughly 1/2 mill dot down at x mag and it is known to be very usefull for HFT. I'm drawn to the loopy though, could just be a magpie thing
    Pro-Target 3 with a Silver Weaver.
    S200, tweakied, Ginb, with a Burris.
    B+C HW 95 special with a Burris.

    boone and croket is crap for airgun use!

    1st line 40y dead
    1.5 lines 45y
    just under 2 lines 50y
    52y 2 lines
    55y 2.6 lines

    Thanks for the info, shame I fancied the 2-8 x 36. Those aim points look ideal. Why would you say the boone and crocket is no good, too fat? different spacing?
