Many PCP’s get posted and delivered ok but I wouldn’t risk it.
Agreed about that but they mean a sealed vessel/chamber, but a buddy bottle without valve or a cylinder without and end is allowed as its not classed as a pressure vessel, it cant hold pressure. Ive had this confirmed by the post office and have sent and insured rapid bottles this way, I also agree with you that its not worth the risk sending a pcp complete, Id hate to loose one and it would be my luck too. To date RM have destroyed a bottle and lost a scope and a lovely rapid stock I sent

RM have a specialist Department that deals exclusively with queries regarding "carriage of " prohibited and restricted items, and I asked their advice a few months ago prior to posting a PCP Buddy Bottle. Their response was that under no circumstances will they allow carriage of a PCP Airgun "cylinder" with "closed ends". ie, one end removed is ok, looking like a "closed cylinder capable of bearing pressure isn't".

Being logical about it, how can anyone look at a PCP cylinder and tell from the outside whether or not it's pressurised ? In my opinion on that basis it makes sense to treat all closed cylinders as being prohibited items and not permit their carriage under any circumstances.

As already said who's to no its got any air left in maybe's just tell them its airguns parts take it out the stock that way it will be shorter ----as for sending full of air? I have just received my gun back from the dealers which I returned due to a leak it came back fully charged and that was parcel force

No one else will knowingly carry an airgun, that's the problem.
I use PF48 because their rules state they carry "airguns", that's good enough for me.
