    The new ones are not worthy of the Aetec name, the old ones are simply great the new ones are simply cheap and nasty. I have the same model as you and apart from the sunshade not fitting all else is fine.

    It's fitted to my .22lr and I have used it with my cobra merlin nv and it worked well enough to shot rats to 60 yards so for now its staying on the rifle but for how long I cant say.

    Return

    OK, it's mounted now and i must admit the optics are really nice, but it's no good i'm just not happy with the build quality.

    Maybe it was a return or reject that they tried tossing off to me hoping i wouldn't send it back. Regardless it's going back to the states in exchange for a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24 Tactical.

    Thanks again lads...

    The 6.5-20x50 WTC are excellent and give S & B/Leupold etc a run for much less money. Personally I prefer the 6.5-20x44MAG mildot (or milblob as the dots are so big) and use them when I want big magnification.

    I just mounted one I picked up on the bay last week. It replaces an old Simmons Deerfield 4-12x40 scope I was using, and the improvement in the optics is stunning. Just as good optically as my 44Mag, without needing the high mounts etc. Build quality is not quite as good as the 44Mag, but I'm not complaining.

    One more thing, it actually weighs in at ~15oz, not the 12oz that appears on some of the specs for them.
    HW95K .22 + Simmons 44mag 6.5-20x44 + Logun Silencer;
    HW95K .177 + Simmons Aetec 4-14x44 + Logun Silencer;
