    My bad - I should have said "two adjacent chambers"

    I have never greased the balls in my gun, it does seem a bit pointless.

    Load all six chambers and grease them.
    Cap one chamber and fire it.
    Look at the chamber either side of the one you have just fired and you will see that most of the grease has been blown out from the blast between the chamber and the barrel.

    Don't recommend anyone try this - adjacent loaded chambers with no caps on the nipples.

    You are correct that most of the lube is gone though.

    I take your point. You are quite right.

    If the caps were on it would be safer.
