I've just got a 1995 HW 35 in .22 and it's superb. Only paid £60 for it.
Also got a 1974 MGB GT V8 ! (It bloody loves petrol).

Forget most of what's been said.
Any other HW, you'd be right in thinking 'I should get an old one because the old ones are better'.
HW 35 is the exception.
I say get a new '35 E in .177 cal.
Oh yeah.
The irritating safety warning stamped on the rear block is a deal breaker imo. Why a sticker couldn't suffice I'll never know, and its much cheaper. This is PC compliance at its worse.
