I had the 4-16 but it had a fault , was replaced with a 6-24 and I nearly fell over when I looked through it. The glass is lovely and the ret is spot on . Put it on my .17 Hornet and it all works rather well . Looking forward to better weather to stretch its legs and see how good the gun and scope are together . I have a feeling the scope is overkill for the gun . Don't think I need this much mag for this gun , I think I might buy another 4-16 PST for it and maybe put the 6-24 on my .223 . I am surprised how good these scopes are for the money , I have heard talk of people changing there Nightforce scopes for Vortex and I kind of see why . For the money the are amazing for sure , not sure about better than NF though , I am looking forward to taking it to Bisley to see how it dials up and from what I hear and read there will be no problem .

For me I would say a cracking bit of kit for the money .

I have the vortex viper pst 2-10×32 on my goldstar I think it's an excellent scope and the glass is better than the bushnell scopes I've had in the past .

I bet its good as well. Might have a look at one of those . I have only seen the 4-16 and 6-24 so far . I do like the 6-24 however I just got a Hawke Frontier and to be honest the glass in that is amazing. I am just trying that at the moment !

Let us know how you get on with the Frontier. Looking at a 6500 at the moment and the Frontier is near identical spec and I already have the 5-30 6500 and would rather not have 2 the same.

Checked out both the 2-10x32 and 3-15x44 pst gen 2 both ffp at the shooting show and found a problem that was't obvious at first where I felt they both fell short in performance.
    ( I was looking for an upgrade for a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 )
When looking at aim points at 10 and 45yds (as range found by vortex stall people at the time) the 32 objective model was good from 10 to mid range then was not so good on to 45 yds.
The 44 size objective lens scope was good from mid range to better at 45 yds but not impressive at close range ie 15mm kills.
So 2-10x32 not so good at mid to long range.
3-15x44 not so good at mid to short.
The scopes were set at 25yds parrallex and scopes were changed later in case they had a problem.
Compared to the Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 with a modded sun shade the performance of vortex fell short of Bushnell, and even though I wanted one, no deal!

Could you tell us a little more about the fault on your 4-16? I have one and apart from the smooth operation of the focus ring and the turrets it's honestly no better optically than my Hawke Sidewinder. Not a particularly crisp picture at anything beyond 300 yards. A Nightforce 'scope at the same price point that I looked through recently was far superior..

My mate has swapped out his scopes for Vortex, he has 7 of them and 3 are Razors!
