Thanks for help Steve, the spring you supplied was great. Tried gun out this morning and all works well. The new hand supplied by Kranks was quite difficult to fit, it was lucky I had kept old one as pattern, new one required a lot of reshaping.
One problem I have with gun since I've had it is when fired deposits very quickly build up on cylinder spindle, there's a few marks around end of shaft where previous owner presumably had trouble removing cylinder as well. Is this a common problem?
as tac said.....
i only shoot mine between 6 and 18 shots per session with 25gns swiss bp /wad /.457 ball and have no issues....only thing that can happen is a spent primer cap can drop into a crevice and stop cylinder rotation lol.
i always grease my cylinder pin with imperial wax or sometimes wonderlube if i grease over balls( oooooh errrrr ) and have it left on my fingers.
what bp do you use?

I use 777. I clean cylinder pin every reload as it still just about slides after 5/6 shots. I've got some wonder lube so try that next time. Not had a problem so far with caps falling through slot, had that on a friends old army ruger which seemed quite prone to that problem. Posted spare spring back to you today. The one you supplied looks much better than original quality. Thanks again.

Few drops of olive oil on the arbor will keep the pin free for a session, keeps the fouling soft, just add a few more drops if things start to get sticky.
Sems thr plated pin on the SS version are more prone to jamming,a hammer is not the first or best option though.
