    Hy score pistols

Posted a while ago that I was asked to find info on and subsequently bought a collection of airguns (couple of Webley mkiii, 2 airsporters, bsa standardand a few more).
Well the collection contains a very tidy Hy score pistol too. Not my kind of thing at all and I really could do with selling at least some of the collection so have done a little research.
It seems that the pistols are pretty collectable and fetch a fairly high (well it seems high to me) price when they do come up for sale.
Just wondered if anyone here collects them or knows if nay other forums might be better place to advertise it as it's a little out of the ordinary.

Thanks in advance for any info.

The only rare one was the first year in 1947, the 700. Its serial number would start with a 7, made about 2500. The common 800, in the US is worth about $150 in top shape. Probably a little rarer over there. Very cool pistols really and under appreciated probably because a lot were made.

See second pic on this sight. If it looks like the one on the site below it is a 800. Serial number would begin with a 8. There was also a repeater which loads multiple pellets it's a 802.

This may help. The later UK-made Phoenix model is recognisable by its slab-sided front end.

"Slab sided" sounds right. Threaded internally.

Tried to add a pic but can't.

Will try again when I get to the laptop.
