He also had a very good rep for his work on custom motorbikes & scooters.

Didn't know him, but as an owner of a ISP Spartan classic I can testify to quality of his workmanship.
RIP
Shame, proper old school talent.
RIP.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Likewise, Craig, never met him but had a Spartan that sported his work, stunning, as said, another talent lost

Got a few webley's done by Don. He did a lovely job and my late dad's Webley MK1 pistol. A lovely guy also. RIP Don. Mach 1.5
A sad loss of someone you'd class as an old school craftsman. R.I.P.
RIP Don .
Sad news for the family..
And sadness that the tap of the tools now sound silent
Very sad news indeed, he was a true craftsman.
I'm not a particular fan of engraved air guns, but have one of his earliest examples of an engraved 'Through the Blue' Webley Senior, fitted with standard grips. When I spoke to Don about this he vaguely remembered doing it, but most of his later examples were done 'In the Silver' and refinished after engraving.
Below are some photographs of said Senior. The grips were acquired later.

Sorry to hear the news Craig. His work was very good and he helped produce some nice rifles.
So sorry to hear about Don, but he still lives on through his great work.
Sad news; another talent lost. I have never met the gentleman but understand you knew him very well, Craig, and you were just talking about him on Saturday.
Condolences to his family and all his friends.
