Of the four I know of (two mine and two club members/friends with one) non have suffered from any crowning problems. Could it have been a 'Friday gun' ?

Partly on the basis of what I've read here and from other reviews (And having seen Lloyd from BAR award it under 500 quid airgun of the year) I've ordered one. Sportsguns of Cardigan will be delivering it next weekend.

    Can't wait.

Now I need to decide if the BSA R-10 becomes my dedicated NV rifle and the Kral my go to gun or the other way round.......

The way I personally view the Kral is that it just simply works, and works well i might add. The trigger takes some getting used too, and I cannot adjust mine as good as Jonse'ys no matter how many times I try. Overall and considering the price, it is a perfectly useable and accurate gun. Far better accuracy wise than the Kral I had a few years ago definitely. It would make a great field gun.

I've one on order, do you suggest high mounts to clear the magazine?
    Cheers
