    so i can buy 8mm soft points in 150gns to shoot in my verguiro instead of 190gn fmj? even though i only have it for target use only

    No problem - there is no longer a distinction.
    You wont be asked why you want soft points.
    Plenty of guys using expanding bullets for paper punching at Bisley.
    Some guns shoot better at close range with flat base bullets.
    And most flat base bullets are expanding type!

    cool....i shot it with 150gn norma sp at the club and it loved them.....i can now buy similar rather than using the big 198gn mortars
