I suspect that the rifle has been refinished, looks a bit too shinny?

Hard to say. I agree, it does look shiny but it may just be the lighting. The edges look nice and sharp, so if refinished it's been done well.

The metal sure looks original including the shift in color from receiver to barrel just as on my 58. Considering that, I think the wood also is original and this is just a really well-kept example.

    How high it could get??
If the seller is willing to send inside the E.U. the amount of bidders increases a lot and prices end up high.
    Recently a Diana 48 was sold ... https://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=9665577
Nice old German airguns tend to go higher and higher lately, a lot of east europian buyers have discovered the site.

Why do I love curl so much! I think in the US it goes back to those curly stocked Kentucky flintlock rifles we see here. I think this guy is using some good marketing in that on this one side he only shows what is curly, got to assume the butt is probably plain? If that is the case it would not show as well as you would think? I know picky picky lol

Went for over $1900! And to me the 2nd model is far superior. The curl of the stock probably did it.
