Not good, and the barrel shroud not touching the breech block is another no no
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

Oh yes, I have that exact setup on my Longbow, makes everything look seamless and the lines flow beautifully.

Although I fully understand why people like hidden breech blocks etc, I actually also like exposed breeches too, I guess its the honesty of seeing the working bits and the fact that there is more to look at than just the wood and two cylindrical shapes. I'm thinking a good example of how this can look good is a fwb sport mk1/2. Heres a pic of my mk1 with my mk4 next to it. I know the mk4 is more of an acquired taste but I like that too.

Hi, I've had it from new, imported from Germany when they had a few old stock left.

    Regards Max

As I don't know enough about the rifles themselves, I really like the teardrop look on the stocks of the older HW77,80,& 97's. Perhaps I'll feel different when I learn more. I do agree about the exposed front end, but I also have a Webley Vulcan.

I know what you mean Max, it's nice sometimes to see the quality of the parts and it might also be more robust, I was looking and comparing fully exposed to hidden

I quite like the FWB mk4 setup just shows enough but not too much

Yes. I think you're right, Nick.

Wish I'd bought one when they were available.

I know you like break barrels with long full for ends and was wondering what Break barrel had the longest, I would think that this one in the pic could be unless you or anyone else can think of another one
