I’ve tried to love BSA springers - Mercury, Mercury-S, Airsporter, Airsporter RB2, Merlin .. had a go with a SuperStar too. Just not right in one...

I don’t like any BSA springers, plenty of my mates have had them over the years Lightening, supersport meteor, horrible triggers, unadjustable...

It’s not the correct sight so the rifle is of no value to a collector, a cheap diopter small scope or putting a rearsight on the adapter by the tap...

You will be surprised how much difference a little preload will make on a HW springer. Try an M10 washer instead of your 3mm spacer.

Get a metal reel tape measure. Pull it out 12 inches and point it. Now pull it out 6 feet. It'll bend . Short id more controllable and less wobble.
