Hi cinstone, as a rough rule of thumb for dating Tempests and Hurricanes by trigger type and name badges, please see post three on the following link . Atb & hth: Gareth W-B..

Just though I'd show you a pick of my latest purchase. I went into D.A.I yesterday afternoon to get some mounts, when I came across two Webley pistols, a Hurricane & a Tempest. I've been after one for the brother in law & haven't seen any locally for 4 or 5 months. The Hurricane was o.k, a little used, but for £50 it seemed a good price.
The Tempest was/is beautiful. I say is because I bought it. It's a .22" and condition wise it's about 8 or 9 out of 10. £79.95 I paid for it & if it was a .177" I would keep it for myself. Shall I keep it & change the barrel? Mmm......maybe !
This model has a thin trigger blade in black. I guess the age to be about mid eighties. Any ideas? See pic' below;-

Far too many rifles & pistols to mention here.

Done my bit for the BBS: http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....-being-a-mod-… now I’m a game-keeper turned poacher.
Looks exactly the same as mine (except for calibre). Bought in 1985 new. Don't know if that's any help.

good buy mate, well done
Cheers all!
Thanks for the date info' Gareth. It's just the black trigger that has thrown me a bit.
Looks like it's around mid' eighties to late 1990s then.
