    Baker Air Rifle

    Hello ,

I have recently seen a photo of a Baker break barrel air rifle. I have never heard of this manufacturer. Should I have done?
Anyway, it was the rounded pistol grip that caught my eye, a really good look on any type of rifle.

So my question is: Does anybody have any information on this rifle, please?

    ATB,

    Sam

I enclose copy of the original patent from a series on airgun patents in Guns Review.

Having read the patent details I would have said that some of the idea's in the patent were incorporated into the Greener Air Rifle.

That has a lever which makes the barrel come forward and back to effect a better air seal, and also a projection on the breech face to help seat the pellet.

Maybe that is why he is mentioned in Greeners book as a patentee.

    Just a thought.?

The patent drawing is not very clear. In the breech block is a strong spring holding the breech closed, moving the the lever down pulls the barrel forward compressing the spring allowing the barrel to be cocked. On the Greener the action is purely mechanical.
