At the start of last century ,there were not many decent british made air rifles around except individually produced hand made specials.
There were however several kinds of continental airguns available from Germany and Belgium. The Millita range of rifles were typical of these imported weapons. These were sold onto british gun making firms who after making small improvements used to label them up with their own names and sell them on as 'British Made'. This was common practice and Lincoln jeffries offered these Millita rifles, with straightened barrels and better springs etc, under his own name.

Early in 1904 he started to make his own underlever airgun, which eventually was produced by BSA. As this model took hold, Lincoln jeffries stopped re-branding imported guns and started to concentrate on his own gun.

As for value, in my experience these Lincoln Jeffries branded Millita's are not worth much more than standard ones, except perhaps to specialist Lincoln Jeffries/BSA collectors, as they do mark a time in the firms career - just before production on the famous BSA/Lincoln underlevers began.

Pricing is very difficult without seeing the gun, however typically Millita's seem to fetch around 100-150 pounds, with slightly more being paid for very very good ones.

    Hope that helps

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Lakey.

Havn/t Seen One Before, Only The Underlever One/s.

The Butt Is Tru Jeffries Style, The Saw Handle/pistol Grip Type.

Metal Work, Lets Say Its Had Some Stick.

Its Had A New Cocking Lever Fitted Which Looks Odd Being Blue/d To The Rest Of The Gun, Will Reasemble And Get It Shooting For A Bit Of Fun. John.
