    BSA Military Pattern Update

Holts Auction next week and I get to look and touch, however briefly one of these wonderful rifles, thats in their sale on Thursday. However if you've got 1250 spare, Henry Krank and Co's got one listed for sale on their antique list.

Just thought I'd mention it to give a few of you a sleepless night as well.

I actually touched one of these yesterday at the Midland Game Fair on John Knibbs stand. A fine looking rifle.

    Wait for it!!!

    With a ticket price of...

    £4,000

Hee hee. Proper funny Paul, but probably all too true (if only our other halves new how much we really spend on our toys "its all okay dear I managed to get myself a real bargain as just like my .177 BSA Stutzen and Webley Service I managed to get this Military for a little over the hundred pound mark" ). Ha ha. Hope my old standard is still doing you proud. I sold an old 1906 bayonet under lever on here for a friend the other week for only £110 (plus post), and finally got myself a lovely Light Pattern (that is a Light Pattern I say, and not a Ladies Pattern ), off the same guy who bought the bayonet (but a few months earlier) ... Anyway, keep up the bell ringing and I dare say I'll bump into you on a thread again some time soon : Gareth W-B.

Hi Gareth, yes the Standard is doing me proud, you may catch a glimpse of it in one the air gun mags next month, there's a feature on our clubs members vintage collection.
Off on hols now with fingers crossed for the military pat. (no hope!).
