Has any one have any information on the Hakko scopes that Fox firearms are importing there is 8 to 32 x 56 with 30 mm tube looks interesting Hakko used to make top class scopes years ago it says they are made in Japan and Jap optics are supposed to be good.

Hakko went bust about 2/3 years ago the name was bought by JOL Japan optics ltd, JOL have also become un contactable shortly after IWA show 2006 I take it they are also out of business ?

they have fox scopes in the shop at the club ,luke uses one on his c/f

I am using a Fox 8-32x44 illuminated target dot 1/8 minute.30mm Tube.
The scope is clear and enables one to see .22 holes at 100 yards with ease.
Very similar to the ZOS Scopes on the auction site and to Ramsbottoms scopes as well a high power Nikko.
Good value for the price.Bought mine as new used from this bbs.

Sammie and I spoke to JOL at SHOT 2006 and were offered the "Hakko" range. They were pretty good but were priced at a level that put them against Nikon, and like for like Nikon were a different league.

We decided against it for this reason. Of course they may have changed the pricing structure

Spoke to them 2007 shot show and same as Gary they are priced out for my tastes .

They may have changed price wise .

But I doubt they will be as good as the old Hakkos .
