Matt there are some that are stiff mag rings and others seem ok, I have found they do ease up with use so well worth working it back and forward whilst watching Coronation street or TDs other favourite Big brother

    re mtc cobra 3x9050

Hi, Sam , Gary, and fellow airgunners, i have fitted the above scope to my new
hw80k.22 once zeroed to 25 yds i have shot out to 40yds at various spinners, i have missed only one shot out 40 so far, the optics are clear and bold,as others have discovered the pa ring is a bit stiff but now seems to be easing up, overall this is a first class hunting scope at real value, backed up by the subtle and esoteric Gary C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mounts fitted and ready to go

    Hi All

Picked up the new MTC supplied mounts from Baz this arvo.

All fitted and zeroed to 25M and the optics are spot on! I am well impressed compared to the view through the Hawke-Sport which I paid 50 notes for :0(

Just aimed in my new Deben Tracer Mini and am now ready for tommorow night if the wife lets me go out for a few hours...

The set up looks really good: HW97K plus MTC Cobra 3-9X50 Mill Dot AO plus Deben Tracer Mini.

    Bunnies beware...

Im thinking about a nice cobra for my hw90k running at legal power.

Would the general advice be to fit a dampa mount? or will the scope handle a non dampa mount on this notorious gasram scope bruiser?

    Da rifle issa pussie innit?
Dampa is always good on a springer though, but with decent mounts shouldn't be needed

    Thanks for reply Gary

Reason I ask, is I have done a search about it and found that the different kind of recoil that is felt with the HW90k has been well known to destroy scopes over time with that quick shock style recoil not sure if thats mainly related to the fac powered ones though.

I will probably get a cobra and just use my decent double strap sportsmatch mounts with the arrestor pin for now. as approx £40 for a dampa mount is a bit on the pricey side

If the cobra should fail on this setup is there a lifetime gaurantee with it?

    Atb

    Nick
