Now SOLD.
Reluctant sale of an ultra rare and collectable Walther LG53M (M for match stock) with double set triggers (mit stecher). Double match triggers gives a choice between hair trigger or standard weight let off. Because the triggers are independent of the sear the gun can also be 'dry fired'.
Only a handful of LG53s with double triggers are known and it's less common than the larger, very rare, LG55DST. Walnut match stock with weighted forend and hand-carved grip chequering. Fully adjustable original Walther diopter rearsight.
Pics HERE, HERE and HERE
This is a break barrel, recoiling .177 10m target air rifle. The breech lockup is totally solid and without movement. These guns were made to full firearms standards and the workmanship is superb. At 41" long and weighing about 7lbs (less if you remove the lead in the stock) the rifle is compact and suitable for a younger or smaller person.
Complete and in full working order, shoots nicely but would benefit from a service (service parts available from John Groenwald @ jgairguns.biz). It shoots match pellets at a respectable 560fps.
In good condition for a 50 year old rifle. There is a small chip at the bottom of the butt and buttplate, plenty of small dents and scuffs to the stock and while much of the original blueing remains there are areas of worn blueing and light rust speckles. But no pitting at all. The foresight protector is a replacement but made to the original pattern.
The price is a bargain £175 plus £13 postage RM insured standard parcels. No offers thanks. More pics available only to serious potential buyers.
Thanks for looking.
