    tasco ag 4-15x50

Hi, l have seen the above scope for sale and was told it is an early model. It states tasco ag and made in china on the scope. Does anyone know anything about this model of scope as l have heard some have glass from japan and some from korea. Any help appreciated.

I used to have a Tasco World Class Air Gun 3-12/4-16x40 (i think) on my first ever Rapid.

It used to have a target style turret at the top and a standard windage turret with cap.

I want another to be honest.

do a google for it to find a similar pic and post if you can

    Cheers

The Japanese ag scopes are crystal clear and an excellent bit of kit, the later Chinese version are bit of a let down, okay at closer range and as things reach out the quality difference starts to show. Shame really as it is a bit like giving Jaguar to TATA to make.

I am lucky i have an original AG 3-9x50AO on my R7 and it is a cracking scope also it has Made in Japan, sweeeeeet

Wasn't there 1.75x40 and/or 2.75x40 models too?...think I used to own one or both!...but I may be mistaken on the exact spec

I have had a few Japanese 3-9x50 which were utterly excellent. I found the very early ones had a narrower field of view compared to the latter one before the Chinese version took over.
I have also used 3 3-9x50 AG Predator Made in China and still use one now on my TX200HC MkII which is still and excellent scope for 12ft/lbs. The genuine Predator is becoming more rare now that the Jap version

I have a AG 2-7 x 32 WA, made in Japan. One of the best scopes I have ever bought.
