Lads and lassies, I would grab this while you can, I have just got mine and it is awesome, I have just sold my beloved EB Sniper and I thought I would never get rid of that! The Leup is brilliant, and the TMR ret is topo-notch (see Ryan's pics). If you want a cliche, then this is the Rolex of HFT scopes. THe TMR ret is also very hard to source.

Thanks Rog, hopefully my spare is now sold. They are without a shadow of a doubt the perfect scope for me. Although I reckon 2 10x40's is a bit greedy!!!

    Just to add a little...

Had a peek through a 10x40 with mildot...now considering i've got one with a TMR, for me i have to say I prefered the mildot version....less fuss.

That said, i can see strengths in both rets...the mildot is fast to aquire and nice and clear dots with thin lines, but the tmr, although can be lost under very harsh conditions (probably the same would lose the crosshair on the mildot to be far) it has sub mildot markings.

I agree Rob, the TMR can be lost in dark conditions, I now have an illuminated TMR which is perfect but the mildot is nice too.

Thirded The TMR was just a little too fine and fussy if you are used to a mildot, if your not used to a standard mildot then it may be the one for you, but I would try and look through one first as you may be in trouble after purchase!

My MK4 arrives Wed but I'm off tomorrow for my next tour, so it will have to wait until May to set it up on the Steyr.
    Just got home.
So it's out with the MKIV mildot. I don't think my wife was to enamored though. Three months away and she thought she should be more important than a new scope. Well that's women for you. Anyway it's on the Steyr now.
Setting it up was a doddle apart from getting the eye relief just right. This is not so forgiving as my SS is. I've only been using it from the bench so will have to try out all the different positions and see how it goes.
Others points, Clarity - excellent, build quality - excellent, turret use and markings - fantastic. And finally parallax. This was the most worrying bit when I decided to buy it. Not to worry though as the range is very good and it does parallax right down. On Wed I'll get up to the club HFT course and put it through it's paces. I'll need all the practice with it I can get before T.V.

Glad you're happy Dave, hope you get on with it like I do. Come and say hello at Tawd.

    Leup

I've been using this fo almost a year now so it's about time I added my long term findings I reckon.

PX Error - Quite possibly the scopes biggest downfall is it's so good, you can have your head in the wrong position and not notice. I don't think it's more prone to error than anything else I've used but I'm better at noticing this sort of thing now.

Cross Hairs - I lose the cross hair betwen 14 and 16 yards (I'm sad enough to measure!), I actually like it as I now to aim dead on. Not a problem more of a quirk,

Zero - I've not had to adjust this scope since January, unfortunately I thought it was off on a couple of occasions where I've been fooled by the wind. It always ends back up at the 0 marks from the start of the year though. Can't say fairer than that though.

All in all it's been awesome throughout whether HFT, Sporter FT or hunting. It's not a scope that can just be picked up and get along with right away as it does have some quirks that need learning however.
