There were quite a few examples that suffered with "Droop"-which could explain the calibre change in a few cases-people fitted whatever they could get their hands on.

How smooth does the .177 barrelled .22 actioned hybrid shoot?

I will give you £50.00 for it
    Never go off half cocked....

    All lies matter

I reckon I will have the droop after another tinny.....

I can emperthise with not wanting to change the airgun you bought...especially if its a "special"..but a standard Sport...?

The .177's seem more desirable than the .22;s....could this be the reason...?

that wouldnt explain the 124s with 22 barrels ( i have seen more of those )
like i said it probably happens a lot but on sports you can tell its been changed
( also in the eighties 22 was used for field target AND hunting ) but then the fashion changed in favour of 177

Sounds like a standard-stocked 124 Mally. Does it have sling swivels?

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.

I have a 121 Sport in standard format, which preceded the 124 but is otherwise identical.

put a scope on the 124 yesterday not bad at all / not as smooth as my 22s but very accurate
the only other 177 sport i have is the MASTERSPORT and i have not shot a 177 one before / i will probably keep it though
was 170 quid a good price (from a shop)
