Polish the sears to a mirror finish and it'll break much more sweetly
As promised I'm posting about my update to improve my Vulcan trigger. I took the trigger apart and measured the spring then I went to www.smallparts.com and ordered an identical sized compression spring but with a 2 1/2 in/lb spring rate.
Received the parts a couple of days ago and installed said spring. The rifle still cocked ok but I could not engage the safety. After much investigation I realised it was the trigger guard plate that was "hanging" the trigger up, a judicious bit of filing fixed that and all is well.
Between the two-stage trigger unit, the new trigger spring and the polished trigger/sear contact faces I now have a nice smooth trigger with no creep that feels almost as good as the Rekord unit in my HW95. These modifications improve in leaps and bounds the quality of the trigger pull and highly recommend this mod to Vulcan owners who are not satisfied with their triggers.
