Tried one of these out today, brilliant I don't have a lot of experience of air pistols, but this was really nice. Effortless cocking on one pump, perfect for our 6yd comps. A feather light trigger. Loved the idea of the built in different front sights, they rotate to give you different sight pictures. It has a nice weight and balance to it. Build quality seems to be quite good. Finally it is very accurate. These are just my opinions, but I would suggest that you put your resevations away and try to have a shoot with one one of these, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

I'm going to place an advance order for mine on Monday

That's the pistol Jim Driver was showing us on the webcam. He said that everyone there wanted to try it.

    Hi.

Just Like to say thank you to Brian who represented Webley. I think he done the company proud.

He Brought down Two of the Alecto Pistols.

I think everyone was happy with it & we gave Brian some good feedback about the pistol. As you can see from above posts Garry & Paul, liked the pistols in there own way.

For me I liked the looks, build quality. The only thing for me is being a left hander I couldn't appreciate the grip properly. However I was still able to shoot it with it being too uncomfortable.

I'd be really interested in trying a dedicated Left Hand version

    Regards
    Paddy.

    Webley Alecto

    Lovely pistol.

Tried it out yesterday at the UBC meet. I did actually shoot it, not just posing aka Lara Crofts mum.

It is well balanced with the main weight at the back so it does not feel to heavy to shoot (important for me).

The grip is very well moulded (thumb and trigger finger) and has an adjustable palm rest. Easy to pump on one pump and I could do it on two pumps as well. If you try to pump it four times it vents.

I like the look of the insides, well machined.

Adjustable sights, adjustable trigger - the ones I tried were light and smooth.

I totally adored that the safety was in front of the trigger and just required a quick flick with your trigger finger.

It comes in a box with pellets, barrel brush and tools and the box is lockable.

One thing we came across was on one of the pistols one side of the opening mechanism came adrift - easy to sort, as with everything else it is adjustable and it was quickly tightened up again with a screwdriver - no problem.

And as said previously, on the snooker spinners Adam77K scored a 147 with it so that shows it accuracy.

Guess what I am buying as my next pistol at the end of November

    Thanks Rich.
They might choose not to stock it, but I can't imagine they'd refuse to source one for you.

Unless of course you want to handle it before buying, in which case I wouldn't expect many RFD's to stock what is essentially quite a gamble, considering the alternatives.

    Thanks Rich.
Unless you want to handle one first then order one from Solware - I think they have put in an order for more than one and will will then send it by courier to the Air gun centre at a small charge.
