Thanks Mick, that's very interesting! Cheers!
Hi Folks
I've been following Grant Stace's rebuild of an Abas Major on his New Zealand website and thought it might be of interest to others on here.

Grant is now a member of the BBS thanks to Jim (BTDT) so he may chip in on the collectors section in the future.
All the best Mick
Thanks Mick, that's very interesting! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing, I love this sort of thread .......
He's a clever chap...nice to see these old airguns rescued & given a new lease of life instead of broken up for parts....
He's a bit more than clever Chris
Grant's a bloody genius
Have a look at some of his "Homemade" guns on here.

Hi Folks
Grant has just contacted me and he needs a few pictures of the loading tap lever for the ABAS so that he can make a new one.
So if anyone can suppy any detailed pictures could they Email them to Grant at sharon-grant@xtra.co.nz.
For all those interested, Grant's Airgun Forum can be found at http:www.network54.com/Forum/575665/
All the best Mick
Can't help with pic's Mick...but i'm sure someone will.
Thanks for link to Grants airguns..you're right,he is a genius..but I wouldn't trust him to water the plants.... ATB.
I know what you mean Chris but at least Grant can spend more time in his workshop now he doesn't have to worry about watering them.
Anyway I've sent Grant the only picture I have of the loading tap from above (Airgunworld april 1984) but it still isn't very clear so if anyone could supply a better photograph it would help Grant no end.
All the best Mick
Pics and dimensions have now been emailed to Grant.
Thanks Doc..
Thank you John
I think you've made Grant's day.
