As I said yesterday Sol, I think its a great idea.

I'll collect mine as I go, and bring them with me to the next UBC, if that's what's going to happen.

Now and again Sol, amongst all the drivel, you do sometimes come up with the odd good idea.
This one is brilliant, well done, I'll go rummage through the bin in the morning and start my collection going.
I also agree with your suggestion for the charity to benefit.

H4H is the charity I'd like to see receive any proceeds from the scrap income.
Already started collecting and placed a wanted ad in the club hut for empty co2 capsules.

    Excellent idea & excellent charity

    I'll be saving mine also.

If everyone is happy for them to be collected at our next meet, we can work it out

    Regards

I've heard a lot about the Greyhound gun club and would like to pay it a visit with a view to becoming a member. I've tried clicking on the link on your post, but keep getting 'web address not available'. Could you post some info relating to the location and membership? Both my wife and I are airgunners - and are looking for an additional club where we could shoot during the week as we are retired. From what I've gathered, the Greyhound might be ideal for us.

    Many thanks, Ikarma

thanks for making this a sticky

i dont mind being the one to collect them all in at the next ubc event, however its likely ill be coming up on the train whenever it is, so it might not be feasible for me to do it. however if my mate comes again ill be in the car and it wont be a problem.

H4H is a very good charity, but I would like to see some go to the RSPCC & McMillan Nurses.

I will of course go with the majority on this.

Why not select 2 or 3 charities then rotate the proceedings from each collection or split it up between the chosen charities...that way everyone is a winner?

Yeah. I think a pool of charities would be better, making sure that they cover different topics and either UK wide or some from different parts of the UK. I tend not to just donate to one charity (particularly big ones, because many of them run like businesses with half the money going on executive salaries) and I know quite a few folk who do the same.
