Hello from another noobie
In time honoured fashion I'd like to introduce myself to the fine members of the forum:
- I'm 40 years young, married with two kids.
- Work as a teacher specialising in behaviour management.
- Assistant Scout leader
- Keen bushcrafter / wild camper (SimonM on BcUK)
- Hold a military RCO qualification which I still use to run .177 air rifle shooting for Scouts
- Hold an Archery Leader qualification and run a small archery club in school
Until recently I hadn't shot an air rifle for about 15 years...then realised that my RCO ticket let me teach Scouts to shoot so ran a few sessions and am now hooked again.
I've borrowed an AGS Value Max from a mate, but am looking to buy my own rifle soon...from my research I fancy an Air Arms TX200HC in .177. Any thoughts or opinions on my choice more than welcome.
My plan is to get my skills back up to scratch and then go bunny bashing. I have two woodlands that I can camp in, so will ask the landowners for permission to shoot there too. (Must join the BASC for the insurance)
Anyway, enough from me...

welcome Simon
Got a few things in common, age 40, 2 kids, havn't been into air rifles since my teens properly, I've lived in the woods (in a house now, tho still got the 10 man arctic bell tent in the shed)
Funnily enough there was a couple who lived in a teepee in the neighbouring wood and terence was a very skilled bowmaker...
Havn't been in the army, i'm a tree cutter by trade.
i'm about to get my first Pcp, probably an s410 but its still up in the air..
Then the rabbits will have to watch out- they already have to look out for my ferrets!
