    Camargue finally done!!

    Hi

I've had this Camargue a year or two and it had problems!!

Some numpty had tried welding the Ally scope mount to the Steel cylinder

This morning i set about getting the blobs of (what looked like bird carp!) off the cylinder, obviously i knew the finish was going to be murdered but there was no other option....

    Before...

After repair and a poor re-blue (1000% better though- if i do say so meself )

    The whole gun..

Unfortunately, i still have to source (or repair!) a new cocking lever as the end part is missing

I think i may fire up the lathe and make something to cover the end of the barrel where it is turned down to a smaller dia...

While i'm in the mood i might just make a start on the airsporter Stutzen

    How have you reblued it?

If you want to improve it I've got a proper blacking rig, stip it down and I'll polish and black it gratis?

    Hi Richard

I used some of the gun blue cream, it's not very good but is a sight better than leaving it silver!!!

If i send it to you, you'll have to take some cash for doing it

EDIT- Forgot to say, i'll need to repair the cocking lever first as it's broken (end is missing!)

here's how it looks from above..

    Cheers, John

I like the old air arms guns so I wont take any cash from you, send a donation to H4H for me

The cocking lever is awkward though I think you'll need to find someone with a scrapper that said if its reblacked that could be a real nail of a scrapper...

    Let me know

First of all a good job done. Also one of these was my first rifles and it brings memories back from my hunting days. I love the camargue and hopefully will own another one day. look after it.
