    06/02/11 - Southern Hunters Round 5

    Iden Ferns Airgun Club.

    Iden Wood Fishery
    Sat-Nav
    East Sussex TN31 7UT

Fishery Entrance 2nd left in Coldharbour Lane, Peasmarsh
Signs out from High Street, Peasmarsh.

A new club, their first hosting and a very tricky venue.
Lots of enthusiasm and hard work have gone into this round.
A good SHS attendance would be nice.
    Plenty of parking.
On site lavs and of course the obligatory burger van.

    Gary.

Taken from previous threads, assuming the parameters remain the same.

This will be a 30 shot / 30 peg HFT course built to the current UKAHFT specification. Booking in and zeroing range open circa 7.45 am. There will be two sessions-the first 60 to book in will start in session 1, expect the safety brief around 9.00 am for a 9.15am start. Session 2 should start circa 11.30 - 1200.
This season will follow the same format as last season, seven shoots with your best 5 scores counting towards the overall leader tables. With trophies for all the class winners at the end of the season.

These shoots are completely open to all safe, sub 12 ftllb airgun shooters-come along and join in the fun with your HFT, Hunting or Plinking rig - no need to pre-book, just turn up and enjoy a great day out. Please note that all juniors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Looking forward to this even more now.

Just home from a long day in London, knackered, I fancied a nice refreshing pint of the old homebrew cider. I walked the dogs, bought the stuff needed for tea on the way back and put another log on the fire.

With increasing anticipation, I filled up a pint glass slowly, slowly, watching the clear liquid creeping, sparkling, to the top of the glass..soon, soon it would be mine... and then

It took me a long time to register where the geyzer of high pressure cider exploding all over the kitchen had come from...

Turned the tap the wrong way...again

    Happily, that's a problem I don't suffer from.
Six dozen Aspalls at a knock-down price, provide a crisp measured dose, without the slightest chance of wasting any on the kitchen ceiling.
Use a bucket of Flash and a mop to clean up, not a pint of your best home-brew.

I could put the racks in the car and you girls could sort it out at Iden if the hosts are willing to let us and there is space to put them. £1 a go winner takes all.

If Rob ends up at Buxted again then all roads really do lead to Buxted and not Rome.
